As you maybe aware from my earlier posts and tweets that this year I want to try to change my whole skin care routine to natural products, by all means this isn’t going to happen over night. I have recently been sent this lovely natural beauty box from the SoukSouk who are relatively new. This is there May beauty box which I got in the post the other day. In the beauty box are two full size products and 3 sample size products. The products don’t come in any fancy boxes like other beauty boxes but to me that isn’t a problem. I’m so excited to try these products and find out if any of them can be in my day-to-day routine.
The SoukSouk Natural Beauty Box* Contains:

Green People Moisturising Shower Gel
I haven’t had a chance to use this yet but I will this week. Above where it says shower gel it says hair care and I’m not really sure why it says that as it’s a shower gel.

Green People Nurture Body Lotion
I have used this a couple of times on my arms and it defiantly soothes your skin and the smell is differently growing on me, it has evening primrose and shea butter in it.

Dr Bronner’s Magic Soap 18 in 1 Hemp Rose
I’ve never heard of the Dr Bronner’s brand before and the smell of this is really nice it reminds me of sweets. I love that it is made with organic oils and the best thing about this is that it has 18 uses which is great and I’m hoping to use this tonight. It can be used on your face, scalp and all over your body. I will let you know how good this product is as I have high hopes for it.

Inika Eyebrow Pencil Full Size
I don’t use eyebrow pencils but I may give it ago as I know the Inika brand has really good products. If I don’t decide to use it then I’m sure my mum would get a lot of use out of it.

BalmBalm Lip Balm Full Size
I have used this for a couple of days now and it’s my favourite since I’ve lost my Bioderma lip balm. The BalmBalm is 100% natural and smells of tea tree which is quite nice. It stays on your lips for a couple of hours and leaves them nice and soft and I love the fact I’m not putting any chemicals on to my lips.

SoukSouk offer some great prices for their monthly subscriptions depending on how many months you want to receive a box for, this has been my favourite beauty box out of all the beauty boxes out there. You can visit SoukSouk here. Another thing about this natural beauty box is that it comes with a booklet and a list of the products the box has. The booklet is very useful as it has lots of other natural products inside and articles about healthy eating which is quite interesting.

Have you tried any of these natural products before?

I picked up these Korean beauty products from the Idea Home Show as I have only ever tried a couple of Korean BB creams and my skin is very pale and I can never find the right colour foundation. I picked up some Touch in Sol products from their stand at Earls court.
Along with the full size products I got lots of free samples thrown in with my products. I have only so far tried the serum sample which I have used under my eyes and on my cheeks and forehead. It made my skin feel firm, smooth and soft I just wished I had enough to cover my whole face with. Here is a good sample size of the colour of the foundation and once it was smoothed into my skin it blended perfectly and left me with soft smooth skin. The colour after is a little pale but I don’t mind as I don’t exactly want to be very brown or orange as I prefer a more natural look. I will be using this foundation for special occasions as I normally only use skincare products and I only wear mascara.I have tried the oat face mask and even though it was a little too big for my face it made a change to using the other type of face masks. The instructions on the face mask say to leave the product on your face once the face mask is removed. I couldn’t leave the water texture on my face so I washed it off and my face was still soft after it.I have also used some of the cleanser but I’m not sure about the oily texture and when I shake the bottle I can see oil sitting on top of the water so I’m not sure if I’ll be using this again. I can’t wait to try some of the other samples I got with my purchases.

Have you tried any Korean brands before?

Everyone loves to Travel and there’s no perfect way to remember and share those experiences by adding some Travel features to your home. I have travelled a lot with my family in recent years and we have a laundry room where the walls are covered in travel souvenirs. Some are too big or not suitable to be displayed around the house or in my bedroom which is a shame. I also love finding travel products to take on holiday so I will be selecting a mixture of 5 Travel gifts that are perfect for the home or products you can take on holiday with you.

Travel Scratch Map Gift #1
This is a Travel Scratch map which can be put it in a frame or on the wall and then you can scratch off all the places you have visited. I love this idea and I actually have one myself in a frame which has no glass so I can easily add to it once I’ve been somewhere. I have also bought one of these maps as a gift for someone and they loved it and it even made them want to travel more. The size of this poster is 82 x 58cm and is £18. You can find the Scratch Travel Poster from notonthehighstreet.com.

Charge and Cord Case Gift #2
I have come across this lovely Take Charge case for all your travel plugs and chargers. It can be annoying when your on holiday and you have travel adaptors, phone chargers, camera chargers and iPad chargers with you, as they all get lost in the room or placed into separate suitcases. This case is perfect to store them all in when your travelling and when you’re at home too. The case also has a clear top so that you can easily see what chargers are in there.

I really wish the postage wasn’t so high as I would defiantly buy one for my holidays. This Take Charge case can be bought from Neiman Marcus and is £20.

Hanging Travel Wash bag Black/Large Gift #3
This is a great hanging wash bag to hang on a door when your on holiday. I’m hoping to buy this when I’m in central London next, as I will be going on a two week cruise in July and there bathrooms are quite small so this will save a lot of space as I’m sharing a room with my cousin. This is the large version and there is also a small version of this wash bag that is £8.95.

The wash bag has around 4-5 separate apartments suitable for travel size products and large products. This wash bag is from Muji and is £11.95.

Check-in Poster Gift #4
I love this idea for a Travel Poster as this displays the check-in dates for your holiday. You can personalise it to whatever you want as there are 8 lines to fill. This would be a great gift for a couple or your other half if you are travelling to a couple of places. I love personalised gifts as it just makes the gift a bit more special. The price of this is £25 which is really good for this size poster as it’s 297 x 420mm. I love being reminded of places I have been too but I do have trouble remembering the dates unless I look at old photos. When I can move out I will defiantly be putting up a lot of Travel posters around my house. The poster** can be bought from here at Paper Themes.

Bespoke Map Heart Trio Artwork Gift #5
I’ve noticed these map heart artworks on not on the high street for a while now and I’ve actually been looking for nice maps to buy so that I can make my own heart pictures. I’m hoping to get that done soon as it’s taking me a while to find a nice map that isn’t too expensive. I want to make some for my room and I think they would be great as gifts too and they wont cost that much to make.

This artwork is also from notonthehighstreet.com and they range from around £45-£85.

I hope you liked my 5 choices and do let me know if you buy any or decide to make your own map hearts.

Here are my monthly favourites for April. This month has been super busy so I haven’t used many products this month as I’m been sleeping and doing University work constantly. I have rounded up a couple of items that I love and have used for April. For the past two months now I’m obsessed with moisturising from head to toe every time I have a shower. I think it’s good to get into a good routine with moisturising as hot showers/baths can dry your skin out. This E45 Nourish and Restore is the best body moisturiser I have ever used. It feels nice to apply and leaves your skin feeling all silky. I have no reason to ever change my moisturiser now as it’s perfect for when I get out the shower. This is the first E45 product I have used before so I can’t wait to see what other products they have in their skin care range. This can be bought from any Boots or Superdrugs.I got sent a sample last week from Eve of St Agnes* is a natural beauty brand who say no to Animal testing, Parabens and Mineral oil and they focus on pure essential oils and natural and organic ingredients. You may not know that this year I’m hoping to change my whole skin care routine into natural products it will be a slow process so trying samples of natural products is great. I was excited to try this Revive and renew refining bamboo exfoliating polish due to the fact that I have recently run out of my original polish.
The white cream texture has microdermabrasion grade Bamboo, Rose hip oil (excellent for sensitive skin) and organic Shea butter with a smell of sweet orange which Isn’t too bad after a while. Straight away I was thinking small grains this isn’t going to exfoliate my skin aswell as using a polish with big grains. I was surprising shocked about how well it exfoliated my skin and left it smooth and soft and it’s great for my sensitive skin. You can check out Eve of St Agnes. I love bamboo products so I’ll look forward to seeing what other products they have. This year for some reason I have hardly listened to any music I think it maybe down to being stressed from University as I leave soon. I got these really cute Marc by Marc Jacobs earphones for my mobile phone and iPod. The sound is quite clear and they replace my Bose earphones that I have misplaced some where. The hearts look really cute and do stick out of my ears a little too much as I have small ears but they are good enough to listen to music with. These were a gift** from Three.
The other day when I was at Westfield I just popped into Clinton’s to check out their Yankee Candle range. I noticed these three little glass buckets and thought they were so cute for tea light candles or the sampler ones. The whole Yankee Candle range was on offer for buy one get one for 50% off which is quite good as they don’t normally have offers on Yankee Candles. The original price for these are £2.99 which isn’t bad as their were other holders there that were the same size for £6.99. I will be doing a shopping review of my items later in the week.
I’m a big fan of tea and love to try new blends when ever I see them in the supermarket. I got the new Twinings range called The EveryDay Tea. The four are Redbush blend, Echinacea blend, Peppermint blend and Green tea blend. My favourite out of the four is the black tea with a green tea blend. The tea looks just like tea but tastes like Green tea which is kind of strange when your drinking it. I can’t wait to see what new ranges Twinings bring out as I do have a growing cupboard just full of tea. Also Twinings have an online store too which I didn’t actually know about and they have some great gifts available.

What have you loved this month?

A couple of weeks ago I won this Elemis Fresh Skin Starter Kit and I have used it ever since. These are the first Elemis products I have ever tried and I’m quite impressed. I have only been using a small amount of each as I want it to last as long as possible before I have to buy the full size products. The Fresh Skin Starter Kit has a Skin glow exfoliating face wash, this isn’t too harsh on your skin and it’s just the right roughness for sensitive skin. The peachy perfect gentle face wash is a cool gel which reminds me of a REN face wash I have. This is a simple face wash to clean and hydrates your skin which makes it soft.
I have used the softly softly daily moisturiser and the night moisturiser quite a lot even though it has a fragrance to it, it still leaves my skin soft and hydrated. The moisturisers are non greasy and the smell is a rosehip seed oil and sweet almond oil. The more I use it the more the smell is growing on me. The starter kit also comes with three sachets of deep clean purifying face masks. This is the perfect starter kit for anyone who wants to try products before buying the full size Elemis products. This is also a great little travel set to take away with you. I have really enjoyed using this starter kit and can’t wait to try some more products from Elemis.

After seeing a post written by the British Beauty Blogger about the new launch of the Vaseline Spray and Go I just new I had to track one down to try it. I found a seller on eBay who stocked the Vaseline moisturiser but was a UK seller. It was around £8 and I also bought another EOS summer fruits balm which was only a £1 so in total it was about £10 including postage which was great.
After reading the instructions on the back of the bottle I was a little disappointed that it actually isn’t just spray and go but spray and rub it in. I don’t really mind as after using it for a couple of days I realised I use a bit too much moisturiser from the bottles where it pours out. No wonder I always have to keep stocking up. With the spray version it sprays enough to cover a large surface. If I spray one squirt on my leg it would be enough to cover it all and then another spray for my thighs so a small amount goes a long way.
I decided to pick the Aloe Vera moisturiser as I am a fan of the brand Vaseline and Aloe Vera products. I have many other products from Vaseline such as their deodorants and Vaseline creams. I love the smell of Aloe Vera and it’s refreshing for your skin. Here are the instructions on the back of the moisturiser as you can see you defiantly can’t just spray and go. This moisturiser is non-greasy too and I can’t stand greasy products that leave my skin feeling horrible and greasy. I would defiantly buy this again and I think most moisturisers should come in a spray form. The Vaseline Spray and Go comes in other fragrances too.

You can probably buy this from Walmart or Walgreens in America.

Also Target may stock the Vaseline Spray and Go too.

What are your best moisturisers?

For a while now I Have been using the Clinique three-step system and my favourite has been the gel moisturiser as I love the feel of it on my skin. After using this moisturiser for over 4 years it started to not hydrate my skin as much as it used to, this could be due to getting older and into my mid twenties.

I decided to upgrade my moisturiser by buying the same gel moisturiser but the extended thirst relief. This moisture surge is quite expensive but I haven’t come across another moisturiser like it. Its texture is a gel form which sinks into your skin. It leaves your skin feeling as if there is a protected layer on your skin which keeps your skin hydrated throughout the day. This jar is only 50ml but it goes a long way as you don’t need to use alot. The Clinique moisturiser can be bought from Debenhams and House of Fraser.
The other week when I was in Superdrugs I noticed that Garnier has launched Moisture Match which are 5 different moisturisers suited for different skin types. I tested them all as they were on offer for £3.99 but they had none left just the samples. I smelt each one and the smell wasn’t good except for the textured gel moisturiser. The one I picked was the Wake me up 24 hour Revitialising hydration gel. After testing it, it reminded me of my Clinique surge moisturiser so I thought this could be a good alternative.
The Garnier moisture match can be bought from Boots for £5.99. Have you tried these two moisturisers? Which one is your favourite?
Superdrugs had an offer on for £3.99 but I think they may have gone back to full price now.
After using the Garnier Wake me up moisturiser for a couple of weeks I realised that I kept having to reapply the moisturiser and I felt it didn’t last 24 hours like it says. But having used it, it still feels nice to apply and it sinks in well and there’s not much fragrance. I would use this some days instead of using my Clinique moisturiser as that’s quite expensive but I wouldn’t completely swap products and use the Garnier Wake me up all the time.

Late last year I did a beauty swap with @rozycupcakes from AZ and I haven’t yet had the chance to try everything and write reviews about all the products I received. USA Beauty Swap 2012.
The five Wet n Wild varnishes are:Tickled Pink/Sparked/I need a refresh/Bijou Blue/Dreamy PoppyThese are the first Wet n Wild polishes I have ever tried as the main brands I buy are O.P.I and Essie. I love the Dreamy Poppy coral colour and the I need a refresh green reminds me of the Mint Candy Apple Essie polish. The I need a refresh varnish has a larger brush than the other four which is quite useful if you have a lot of nail to cover but nor if you have small nails as it easily goes on our skin. The Wet n Wild varnish needs about 2-3 coats to cover your nails if you use a clear varnish over the top the varnish should last around a week. My favourite is the Sparked, Tickled Pink and Dreamy Poppy these are great colours for this spring/summer.
The polish applies quickly, easily and provides a brilliant super-shiny finish. Next time I go to America I will definitely be picking up some polishes from Wet n Wild. Wet n Wild can be bought in Target, Walgreens and Walmart. If your in the UK you can probably find some Wet n Wild varnishes on eBay.

What are your favourite Wet N Wild polishes?

My parents went to Naples for a couple of days a couple of weeks ago and brought me some gifts from their trip. I will be going to Naples in July and I can’t wait to go shopping there. Here are the items I got.
I have some mini Nutella tubs already from when I bought a pack of 7 from the airport in Miami so this will go with them in my glass cabinet.
As you probably already know that I love chocolate so this is a great gift a chocolate note-book and pen. They probably sell them in the UK but I haven’t seen them before. This is such a cute novelty gift. Just realised there’s a chocolate theme here. This set will be great in my bedside draw as I always wake up in the night needing to write ideas down.I have never seen these types of easter eggs before as they don’t sell them here in the UK. I have a Milka and Lindt Lindor one. Inside the Lindt Lindor is a small egg and in the plastic container underneath it is a charm bracelet that has a little bear on it. These are great easter gifts and I hope I can get some next year too. I love all my gifts and now I can’t wait to go shopping in Spain and Italy in July.

Have you seen these easter eggs before?
