Xmas Sales Come Early!

Christmas has come early when it comes to the Christmas sales. Normally everyone would buy presents for full price before Christmas and then will always say after Christmas oh we should had bought the presents once Christmas was over, as all of the presents would had been in the sale…But now sales have started early for some companies, because of this it has killed off the boxing day stampede for all the sales, as all of the sales were before Christmas. Here are some of my favourite sales that are happening right now. All images link to the stores website. I think in 2012 my motto will be not to buy anything full price unless I have saved some money on it. Obviously you cant use this method on products that I do actually need and there’s no way of getting money off and also the same for designer stuff too. I’m just going to try and save more money on products in the future :) Money Saving Expert is great place, also I need to remember to use my student discount aswell.

Lula Knits PomPom Scarf!

I have finally received my knitted pompom scarf from Lula Knits. I met Laura at Greenwich Market and loved her pompom scarf’s on her stall, as last year I used to have one from Paul and Bear. I was allowed to pick my own colours that I wanted and how big I wanted the pompom’s to be. I decided to choose black as black is one of my favourite colours and it goes with everything. It took 2-3 weeks in totally from ordering the yarn to receiving the parcel. The scarf is quite long and wide and this is a great thing as it’s been getting really cold recently. The quality is really good and probably much better than the high street scarves. I’m hoping my next purchase will be some matching mittens from Lula knits to go with the scarf.

Lula Knits!

This is LULA KNITS market stall of handmade knitwear such as scarves, keyrings, bags and pillows. These are some photograph’s I took when I went to visit, as I like one of the scarf’s which had a massive pompom on each end but sadly it got sold it can be seen on the Lula Knits blog and also their facebook page. I then decided the massive pompom scarf is more of a statement piece so decided I now want an all black scarf with one small pompom on each end and she said she can order the fabric and it can be ready in 2 weeks so I placed my order last week and thought I’d take some photographs. The products are really good quality and the fabric is so soft there is also many colours to choose from.

Lula Knits are expanding their range with more products such as mittens with the string which I love, so I shall be getting some of them aswell. I will post a photo of my scarf once it is made, I really can’t wait it’s much better than going to a high street store and buying one that everyone is wearing. Whilst on twitter I came across this Contemporary Furniture Store. Found some really nice pieces, actually I want everything on the site. I can’t wait to have my own place when I’m older and go out and buy furniture and knife and forks. Here are some of my favourite pieces from Graham and Green. Etsy Review, Annas Artwork Shop.

Etsy is  one of many websites that I can’t keep off of these days as there’s so many products that people have made and I love the fact they are handmade. Most Etsy shop owners are from the US and it just shows how much talent people have..I make sure I add all my favourite products to my favourites page so I can also find them again.

A recent piece of artwork that I found from a shop on Etsy, that I loved and kept going back to was Annas Shop. Her artwork is hand-carved from a linoleum mounted wood block and then hand printed on to textured paper and then more colour added for more detailing. This means that every time a piece of work is printed it will never always look the same so each image will be unique. My favourite of all is the Classic Chanel Bag, it looks just like the real thing and I wish I could have it on my wall in my bedroom. She has other fashion pieces and some nature artwork that can also be purchased from her shop.

Today I’ve finished “It’s not me It’s you” by Jon Richardson

I first saw Jon Richardson on the Graham Norton Show a couple of months ago and Graham Norton was talking to a couple in the audience and Jon Richardson said “it wont last” this made me realise that his quite funny but then once I researched him and watched some of his stand ups I realised he wasn’t joking about some of his jokes. His book is about his OCD and what his opinions are about everything, which they are normally not what the majority of people think. Some of his opinions I felt I could relate to in which other people would think isn’t normal. He seems to come across as a really nice person but not a person that can get along with most people hence why his not had a relationship in a long time. This book is defiantly a great read if you want to learn things about other people and what they think.
